Five Feet

I started this picture at 5 Pm ... it is now... 12 Am. thats...
7 hours?
It took me 7 hours to draw this.

I have alot to say about this picture.
But im not going to say alot.
Because its late, and I dont feel like it.

This picture is massive.
This picture took me alot longer than I usually take to draw pictures.
So i feel like I coulda been doing other things.
More prosperous things.

The whole Idea behind this picture was from a conversation i had with ~pastelpops on Skype earlier today
About our Oc's and their hights.
I told her that I hadnt really thought about it but
Simet is the tallest and Fuafua is the shortest.
Then I had the idea to draw their heights in a line up like I see all the time
And it somehow became mug shots?
I dont know.
Just did.

Simet is 5'7"
Nimowei is 5'4"
Fuafua is 5'0" (though she swears shes 5'5" because of her ears)
J9 is 5'5"
and Glib is 5'6"

A little something about the signs theyre holding.
Um...those are their names.
Like their true names
Like... the experiment codes they were given in the genetics lab.
meeeeh


51MET181 is Simet's
He kinda still goes by 51MET because thats what they called him for most of his life
"they" being the other mutants and scientist.
he was the only one of them who was actually raised in the laboratory.
Well more like the carnivor holding cells.

N1M0W319 is Nimowei's
She never knew her code because she was rescued from the facility early in her life
She was named because of it though
because people are lazy.
meh.

FU47VU4A is Fuafua
She had never known this code, or had a name her entire life
"Fuafua" is just what Glib decided to call her after she escaped.
So um... He called her that because its what he could decifer out of her code
That and J thought it sounded fitting.

J925D47M is well...J925D47M
J9 has always known his code name
and has always thought of it as his name
even though people shorten it to J9
or even J, or Jay, or Jason on ocassion
He still knows his name is J925D47M and is fine with that.
Now i know what your thinking
"But Tenshi, J9 cant have an experiment code, he is a human, he isnt an experiment."
Which is true.
Yet very, very untrue.

and last but not least,
6L1B44Y2 is Glib's code.
Glib has been called Glib for his entire life.
He didnt know what his code was
Or that he even had a code
Or that he was even an experiment
untill he was 12
He doesnt like the idea of the codes
and he doesnt call himself by his code
Or anyone else by their's.
Dispite his protest, he always calls J9 "Jay"
and 51MET "Simet"
Because he feels like the codes are stupid and demeaning.
They arent only experiments
They are people and they deserve to have, and be called, by real names.

Regretably this is the first real picture of the five of them together

and theyre... going to jail.

Uh no, they dont ever go to jail in my story.
I dont think they ever will.
But if they did, why do you think they would be in jail?
And how do you think they would escape?
And why is Glib so happy to be going to jail!?!?!
